Hello SOfA supporters!  

We have a new blog to keep you updated on all events related to SOfA!  For this first post, we wanted to update you on an event earlier this year in February 2025 in the Dominican Republic.  In addition to hernia repair surgeries, SOfA held the “First Annual” Hernia Symposium at the ILAC Center in Santiago, led by Dr. Brent Matthews. It was well attended with enrollment of over 50 surgeons, surgery residents, and nurses from across the country.  The symposium was an introduction to laparoscopy-surgery with small incisions-for hernia repair.  We are so thankful for the local leaders in the Dominican Republic for helping us with this educational event as well as industry support from Medtronic.  We are excited for next year already!
